The 2019 Ford Escape arrived at showrooms with several new features, including Ford's Sync 3 infotainment system, now standard one-touch up and down power windows, keyless entry with push-button start, along with optional black roof side rails. A Sport Appearance package and a Safe and Smart Plus package were also introduced as an available option.
The 2019 Escape's interior focuses on a standard 4.2-inch display or an optional 8-inch touchscreen. Standard features include a six-speaker audio system and a USB port. Available interior features include satellite radio, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay®, high-definition radio, navigation, remote start, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats and steering wheel, and more. The Escape can comfortably seat up to five people throughout its two rows. The Escape offers 68 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down.
The 2019 Ford Escape utilizes several powertrain offerings, including a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 168 horsepower, a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 179 horsepower, and a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 245 horsepower. The engines are paired with a six-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is offered. When properly equipped, the Escape can tow up to 3,500 pounds.
